Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Cecil I. Forbes, Jr. is a graduate of Martin Luther King Jr. Senior High School, Jackson State University and Palmer College of Chiropractic. His Bachelor's degree is in Biology and Physical Therapy. While a student, he treated thousands of patients during his Clinic Abroad Program to Hyderabad, India. Since 2006 he was affiliated with HealthQuest, the official chiropractors of the National Football League Detroit Lions football team. During the 2006 season, he was the team doctor on a road game victory against the Dallas Cowboys at Texas Stadium and has done several games and practices since. Dr Forbes operated and practiced at the HealthQuest of Livonia clinic, where he treated patients with back pain, headaches, nerve impingements, sciatica. etc.

Currently Dr. Forbes practices at Detroit Injury and Pain Centers in Detroit. Cecil was a volunteer football coach at his high school alma mater in 2005 and co-founded the Greater Antioch Baptist Church Neighborhood Mentoring Basketball Program in Iowa. In 2005 he awarded Man of the Year honors at Greater Antioch Baptist Church. He was also a Detroit Merit

Academy commencement speaker and the 2009 commencement speaker at Martin Luther King Jr. Sr. high school. Dr. Forbes has given numerous presentations on health awareness. Dr. Forbes is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, American Black Chiropractic Association, Michigan Association of Chiropractors, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Lifting as We Climb Foundation and board member for Michigan Pro- Athletes for Charity and currently works with the Ministry of Helps at Word of Faith International Christian Center as an Usher.
